no matter where you go there are going to be rules that need to be followed. in this book you will find everything you need to know about the rules of this place. be sure you give it a good look over.

before you head into the hospital or into town we'd like to know a little bit about you. in here you will find the paperwork to become a resident to this beautiful place.

keep your eyes and your ears open at all times. or you can always check the bulletin board to find out about new things going on in town, at birch haven, new rules, etc. this place is where announcements will be made.

this is where you will find several places, in which all are one hundred percent out of character. find places to let us know if you're leaving or just talk for the hell of it. whatever and when ever.

in here you can post if you are looking for friends, enemies, family. whatever you want for your character this is the place to ask for them! please be sure to see "character plots" also located in this board!

here you will find studio's of those who can make graphics for your character(s). please be sure to read their rules and use their code if they provide one. if you would like a studio of your own, please fill out the form within.

staying inside can drive anyone mad, so step outside to the usually fog covered ground. sit on a bench and stare out to the orchids or lay in the lush green grass and stare up at the sky. there's a walk way that weaves through a garden of flowers and rose bushes and a few fountains. it actually seems like a nice place to be at times.

for a mile in both directions is the apple orchid. usually there are ripe apples on the trees that you can pluck off and enjoy. it's a good place to go on a walk or to hide during the night when you simply can not sleep. at times it's creepy, when the fog rolls through, and the crows caw but otherwise this is one of the calmest areas on birch haven's grounds.

people come and go in life just like they do in the rehab. some die from disease, some die from over dose or suicide, and others.. well people just don't know. this is an eerie place to explore at night, just watch your step around roots coming out of the ground or trash thats been littered here. patients sometimes have to clean the area for punishment. within the center is a fountain that still works surprisingly.

there are different offices within a large gray stone building, across the yard from the other building. walk inside a lobby with dark red carpet and white walls, old pictures on the walls but dust as well. there's a desk and a few guards inside. this is also where new patients check in and wait to be examined.

concrete walls and floor, dust everywhere, and a few lights hanging from the cieling. there's a few chairs because sometimes there's multiple guards and very rarely there's none at all. if you get in trouble you'll be locked behind bars by yourself with nothing more than a bed, blanket and toilet. one cool thing about this place is the guard passes out a lot and leaves his liquor cabniet ajar.

this is where you will come to eat. it's a large hall with guards on each side of the building by the four big doors. girls and guys can all sit together here but they're under close watch. some sneak in during the night hours for some extra food, when three meals a day just isn't enough. theres been a few food fights here so don't be surprised if there's a janitor cleaning off the hard wood floor and white walls.

the lounge is a room with gray tile flooring and white walls, bars on the windows like everywhere else. it's on the second story above the dorms. there's tvs on the walls, a pool table, a few card tables and some books and couches to sit on. guards are always on high alert here, making sure no one bursts out into a fight. this is where a lot of fights break out after all.

every patient must share the room with one other person. unless of course they have a violent history, then they're alone. each room has two closets, one big dresser with four drawers, a side table between the beds with a lamp, and a fan on the cieling. otherwise they're bare unless the patients wish to decorate them, when they get things for good behavior. don't forget the barred windows.

there is a small neighborhood of twenty houses. they are all brick homes, the grass outside brown, some windows broken. but hell, they're better than apartments. most of the people who live here lived here before america actually fell apart. these are big houses ranging from three to six bedrooms.

this place used to be beautiful but like everything else around its now just a worn down looking white building. birch trees grow in the courtyard, grills are now broken, and the white walls are covered in vines. its got an eerie look to it and the bars on the windows don't help, but they're just for protection. people that live in town live here unless they're homeless, while houses are being rebuilt to move into.

every town needs a gas station, even if there aren't any cars or gas to put in the pumps! you can still get food here as well as drinks. water thats been sanitized can be found here, along with fresh fruits, vegitables, and meat from local farmers. this place has become a farmers market or grocery store more than anything else. plus, it's a great place to get a job or exchange drugs behind the building since the security cameras don't work anymore.

just because the new law states that doing drugs and drinking is wrong, doesn't mean people with abide by that foolish rule. that's why an under ground club was created. hidden within a warehouse a board is lifted off the ground to reveal a hidden trap door on the floor. open it and climb down the ladder and get pass the guard with a weekly code word. then you're in underworld! a club with solid black dance floors, dark oak walls, and a dark red and purple theme. alcohol and drugs can be found here. relax on the big fluffy seats and couches, get drinks at the bar, or dance under flickering lights in front of a dj.

because cars are no longer in use due to a lack of gas, people use horses to get around. here is where you're able to board your horse or perhaps take up a job here in exchange for some coins. the barn is massive and painted red like a classic barn. it houses about sixty horses, plus a couple of pastures. there's a hay stack up in the attic area, a rope that swings from a creeky board, and a couple of tack rooms to hide out in if you've got something to from.

surrounding birchwood is beautiful mountain ranges and forests. a lot of the trees have been burned down but some areas are still lush and beautiful. this is a great place to get away from things. it goes on for miles in every direction and its been said that caves can be found within the woods here and there. be careful, because wild life still flurishes in some areas which means bears, wolves, and other dangerous things.
